School of Science
We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced technical tutor to support computational teaching activities across the departments in the School of Science (Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematical Sciences and Mathematics Education).
The post holder will provide technical instruction, skilled project direction and design advice to undergraduate and post graduate taught students in computational areas.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of coding methods and will have the competency and willingness to learn and teach a variety of programming languages.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with students and staff and explain concepts clearly.
Duties will include providing support for scheduled laboratory sessions as well as individual support to students on project activities, maintenance of relevant apparatus, specialist computational software and equipment (e.g. robots).
