A Research Associate is required to work at the forefront of sustainable food manufacturing research within the Centre for Sustainable Manufacturing and Reuse/Recycling Technologies (SMART). The post-holder is expected to lead a program of experimentations to test and validate the potential benefits of several specially designed digital tools to monitor water and energy consumption and food waste generation, using data from industrial partners.
A degree in engineering or computing is essential, as are excellent communication skills and ability to write technical reports. Work experience in a food laboratory environment, practical experience of software development and data analysis methods would also be desirable.
