Department of Mathematical Sciences
Fixed-term for 12 months
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Physics, to work on the project "Algebraic and Geometric Methods in Integrable Systems" under the direction of Professor Sara Lombardo.
Applicants will be expected to hold or be close to finishing a PhD degree in Mathematics, or Mathematical Physics or equivalent. They should also possess a proven research track record in one or more of the following fields of research: Algebraic Curves, Integrable Systems, Nonlinear Waves, and Mathematical Physics. Ability to work with MATLAB and Mathematica is desirable.
The successful candidate will join the Geometry and Mathematical Physics Group, in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Loughborough University.
