Loughborough University (CREST) in collaboration with Warwick, Ulster and London South Bank Universities have been awarded funding from the EPSRC to undertake research to address the challenge of developing Low Temperature Heat Recovery and Distribution Network Technologies. The main research to be performed at CREST relates to the development, characterization and modelling of advanced thermal energy storage systems, capture of low/zero carbon heat and heat distribution with minimal energy losses. Applicants must have a PhD in engineering or physical science (or equivalent) and experience of undertaking a long term detailed experimental and theoretical research project successfully.
