Department of Mathematical Sciences
Loughborough University is seeking to appoint a dedicated and ambitious academic to a Lectureship in Mathematics. The appointee will become a member of the Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS). The appointed candidate will collaborate effectively in a team atmosphere; will have an intellectually challenging research agenda in any area of Algebra, Geometry or Algebraic Geometry and a commitment to innovative research-led teaching.
The DMS has a vibrant community of researchers who are committed to supporting each other deliver outstanding research. It consists of six research groups http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/maths/research/groups/, in particular we have a well established internationally renowned research group in Geometry and Mathematical Physics.
Candidates should have an emerging track record of outstanding research with impact and the potential to attract external funding. They will initiate and participate in collaborative activity with School members and across the University.
The appointment will be on a full-time, open-ended contract, commencing 1 February 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary for the post will be on Research, Teaching and Enterprise Grade 6/7, at a starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications that will be of a minimum of GBP 34,576 per annum.
