An excellent opportunity has arisen for a 24 Month Fixed Term Electrical Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading Universities in their Estates & Facilities team.
In this role, you will work as part of a small electrical team, assisting with the planning and delivery of electrical maintenance, infrastructure and minor works install projects that are required to maintain the electrical assets across the University’s diverse estate portfolio. You will provide excellent customer service to all users of the university to ensure the facilities are fit for use.
The position of the Electrical Engineer forms an integral part of the Facilities Engineering Team here at Loughborough University and we are seeking a customer focused individual who has strong interpersonal skills and is a dedicated team player.
Key Requirements:
· Ability to deliver maintenance and small works install projects (up to £1million) from initial concept through to completion
· Expertise in LED lighting project upgrades
· Strong technical skills. Use of design software (AutoCAD, Amtech, Relux/Dialux)
· Strong communication skills
· Excellent knowledge of electrical compliance / standards / legislation
· Experience with management of internal / external operatives
· Computer literacy on common Microsoft programmes
