School of Sport, Exercise & Health Sciences
An enthusiastic, self-motivated individual is required to work as part of a team of specialist technical staff to supervise the day-to-day running of genetics and biochemistry teaching and research laboratories, and contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students and the supervision of research staff.
Duties include the supervision of the genetics and biochemistry teaching and research laboratories, organisation and delivery of laboratory classes in genetics, cell biology and physiology. You will have at least a BSc in a biological science,human biology or a related discipline. Experience of working in a research or teaching environment is desirable but not essential. In particular, experience of molecular biology techniques would an advantage.
This full-time post is offered on a fixed-term maternity cover contract for 12-months (or the earlier return of the post-holder, whichever is the soonest) with a start date of 15th January 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter.
