Full Time Health, Safety & Compliance Administrator (LSU1027)
Loughborough Students’ Union is a hive of student activity, hosting a wide variety of events and providing facilities for both student members and external users. In order to ensure our facilities, processes and services are safe and fit for purpose, we require a skilled and ambitious Health and Safety specialist to play a crucial role in developing our policies, procedures, training resources and information systems. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of and a commitment to Health and Safety, and will hold (or be willing to acquire within 12 months) a NEBOSH National General Certificate in order to provide the knowledge required in this role. The role will involve a strong focus on developing processes and information management systems in order to provide appropriate support to colleagues and members. Experience of creating meaningful risk assessments is essential, as LSU currently supports 125 student societies, 58 sports clubs, 50 “Action” project groups, 50 “Raising and Giving” (RAG) groups and a selection of student enterprise and welfare groups. These all hold regular and exceptional events and activities that require up-to-date risk assessments in order to operate safely.Full details can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification.

The role is offered as a full-time (35 hours per week) full-year position. If you already hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent) the role is offered on LSU Scale 6 (currently £22,417 - £24,462 per annum). If you do not yet hold this certification but have relevant experience and skills, the role is offered on LSU Scale 5 (currently £20,675 - £21,814) with a view to you attaining NEBOSH certification within 12 months of commencement. Upon certification and satisfactory performance, the candidate will progress on to Scale 6.
