Summary
The East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP), based at Loughborough University, is a non-profit making collaboration of Higher Education providers and partnerships.
Our partners work with schools and colleges to target students who are under-represented in higher education and provide interventions which seek to widen access and support equity of opportunity.
EMWPREP provides its partners with monitoring and evaluation services which allow them to identify the effectiveness of their widening participation (WP) and recruitment interventions, and facilitates the tracking of learners throughout their educational lifecycle.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to facilitate effective collaborative working, manage the bespoke EMWPREP database used to monitor widening participation interventions, and lead the evaluation of a range of research projects to identify the success of the targeting and impact of activities.
The role will involve supporting partners across a range of institutions to meet regulatory requirements from The Office for Students (OfS) and building positive relationships with others across the sector through involvement with relevant conferences, sharing best practice and engaging with sector organisations/working groups on national projects of common interest.
Who we’re looking for
Previous experience of partnership working in a cross-sector context and project management is required with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, including the ability to write appropriately detailed reports and clearly present data findings to a variety of audiences.
You should also have experience of using quantitative and qualitative techniques and of working with data and databases.
What we can offer you
The role is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis. As a full-time member of staff you would be entitled to 30 days leave per year and will also receive 14 bank holiday and concessionary days.
Our University is positive, where possible, of flexible working – you can find out more here. We have introduced dynamic working and will consider a combination of working on campus and remotely. The post holder, along with the current core team, will be expected to work dynamically from our office base at the Loughborough campus on Tuesdays.
We welcome applications from all candidates with an interest in the role and who are committed to helping us create an inclusive work environment. We encourage candidates to apply irrespective of age, disability, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion and belief, gender identity, sex, or sexual orientation.
Application procedure
You must complete the application form and evidence the essential criteria required for the role in the job description person specification. In some cases, the recruiting panel may also consider the desirable criteria. All information should be included in the online application form itself and any accompanying CVs will not be considered in the shortlisting process. Interviews will take place in-person on the Loughborough University campus.
