Lecturer in Social and Cultural Geography

Loughborough University is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to build upon our world-leading reputation for research in communication, media and cultural analysis. The appointee will become a member of the Centre for Research in Communication and Culture, which connects colleagues from across the school. They will have intellectually challenging research agenda in any area of human or physical geography that connects with a broad social science and communication theme and a commitment to innovative research-led teaching.
The successful candidate will join the Department of Geography. They will contribute to the delivery and development of our BSc degree programmes (Geography) and related Masters programmes (Globalization and Society, International Finance and Political Relations; Globalization and Sport; and Environmental Monitoring for Management) and, where appropriate, on postgraduate programmes across the School, including the supervision of PhD students.
Candidates should have an emerging track record of outstanding research with impact and the potential to attract external funding. They will initiate and participate in collaborative activity with School members and across the University.
