School of Science
Fixed Term for 24 Months
A 2 year fixed term post has arisen in the area of spin Seebeck devices for energy harvesting. One of the primary aims will be to develop instrumentation to characterise the spin Seebeck effect as a function of magnetic field, temperature, and thermal gradient.
As this post will focus on develop of instrumentation candidates will be expected to have some knowledge of LabVIEW for automation of instrumentation. Knowledge and/or experience of magnetic, structural, optical and electric measurements will also be an advantage.
Candidates are expected to hold a PhD in a relevant Physics, Engineering or Materials science field (or equivalent experience).
