Sports Development Centre
Loughborough University are seeking a highly experienced individual to drive an exciting new para sport agenda across the university and on the national stage. This role will be responsible for defining Loughborough University's strategic direction for Para Sport and developing its Para Sport offer.
We want to build on our reputation as the Number 1 Sporting University in all areas including Para Sport. This role is focused on creating and driving forward an exciting new vision for Para Sport, by developing a new disability sport offer for the University and influencing stakeholders at a local and national level.
The successful post holder will be required to:
Develop a clear concept of what disability sport means, and how the university addresses itself to that concept
Provide a clear vision of the strategic direction required for Loughborough University over the next ten years for disability sport.
Convene a Disability Sport Working Group to bring together a range of people from across the University to influence strategic priorities, review progress and plan programmes of activity.
Ensure the maximisation of the university's access and participation plan obligations, especially through purposeful engagement with disabled young people who are considering a university application.
Work with University academics to ensure that Loughborough university is at the forefront of Para sport research.
Contribute to the World class vision for sport at Loughborough.
