IT Services
Full-time, open-ended, £44,414– £52,841 per annum with possible market supplement

About the role:
You will provide excellent knowledge and skills in the development, support and training of research computing techniques including parallel programming, algorithms and software engineering for the University.
You will work with research colleagues from across the University to construct, improve, and maintain the software they use for modelling, analysis and simulation in research.
You will run hands-on training sessions and community building events covering topics in programming and software engineering best practice, helping researchers to build well-structured and maintainable research software and make effective use of HPC systems.
About your team:
The Research Computing Team operates the University's High-Performance Computing (HPC) service, supporting HPC-using researchers across the University. We also support the University’s role in the HPC Midlands+ consortium and an assortment of Linux systems around the University.

The position is FULL TIME and OPEN-ENDED. Salary will be on MANAGEMENT & SPECIALIST GRADE 7, £44,414– £52,841 per annum, at a starting salary to be confirmed on offer of appointment. A market supplement could be available for the preferred candidate based on their experience to ensure we can make an offer that aligns with the market rate for the role.
