School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences
Full-time, Open-ended
The School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences is seeking to recruit a Doctoral Research Administrator.
We are seeking an excellent administrator to support our Doctoral Research Officer in providing a proactive and efficient service for our large cohort of doctoral researchers and their supervisors. We aim to provide an excellent experience, environment and sense of community for these early career researchers. The postholder will contribute to this through allocating and enhancing study areas, supporting meetings/events and taking care of a variety of administrative processes.
While it would be desirable for the candidate to have some experience of administration in Higher Education, it is more important that they are happy working in a busy administrative role with a varied workload. It is essential that they are confident with IT skills, have good attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with a variety of people. The postholder will work dynamically, with a minimum of 60% of the week spent in our office on the Loughborough campus. The time spent on campus is important in order for the postholder to be able to build relationships across the School and to effectively support and develop the study space.
The School is renowned as an internationally recognised centre of excellence for the study of sport, exercise and health sciences and has been ranked No.1 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for eight years in a row. We attract doctoral researchers and staff from across the world and we work hard to ensure that everyone is provided with an inclusive environment and feels part of our community.
