School of Science
Part-Time (18.5 hours per week), although a shorter duration for more hours per week will be considered. Fixed-Term until 31 October 2021 in the first instance.
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate to start as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be based in the Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University and will work with Dr Hui Fang and Dr Syeda Fatima in the area of multi-agent based modelling and business intelligence, funded by Innovate UK project “An agent based modelling solution for reliable decision making in crisis and market turmoil in consumer retail”.
You will find exciting opportunities for research and collaborations with our industrial partners on meeting a real business need in consumer retail sector. In particular, the aim is to study the interactions between manufacturers and consumers and how these would influence the product sales when meeting crisis and market turmoil in consumer retail sector?
Loughborough University is an institution particularly strong in AI, Autonomous and Human Centred Systems with a vibrant group of more than 12 permanent staff members working on various of AI related projects.
Applicants are expected to hold or to have recently submitted a thesis for a PhD in computer science and to be able to demonstrate original independent work, for example through publications and project demos. Experience in relevant fields, such as multiagent systems, optimisation and business intelligence, are preferable.
