The School of Business & Economics at Loughborough University is a leading international player in research and teaching across business, management, finance and economics. We are looking to appoint a Professor of Management Accounting to join the Accounting and Financial Management discipline group. We particularly welcome applications from those with research interests that complement work already being undertaken within the Accounting and Financial Management group (details at: http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/sbe/disciplinegroups/accounting/).
In terms of management accounting research, we currently possess expertise in, inter alia, performance measurement and management; management control; sustainable accounting and accountability in private and public organisations; shared service centres; lean accounting as well as various issues related to corporate governance. Applicants are expected to have a strong publication portfolio at an internationally recognised level. Furthermore, applicants should either have experience of or the potential to offer research leadership in the area of Management Accounting. From a teaching perspective, the successful applicant must be able to teach to the highest standards and at all levels.
The appointment will be on a full time, open-ended contract, as soon as possible after interview. The salary will be on Research, Teaching and Enterprise Grade 9, at a starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
