Geography and Environment
Full-Time, Open-Ended, starting as soon as possible
An experienced Technician is required for this post in Geography and Environment in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The Tutor will provide technical support for teaching, research and innovation in Geography and Environment. They will maintain the Geography and Environment laboratories and share expertise in complex analytical equipment for field and laboratory use across a broad range of geographical disciplines. They will develop, test and prepare new teaching materials for laboratory and field work, and deliver technical tuition, guidance and assistance to students and staff.
The successful candidate will have substantial previous experience of working in a Geography/Environmental Sciences or related training/research environment, as well as experience of working with staff and/or students. They will need extensive knowledge of analytical techniques relevant in Geography/Environmental Sciences research. Experience of working with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) would be advantageous.
