Fixed Term for Nine Months
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative researcher to join the Mechanics of Advanced Materials research group with the goal of developing next generation devices for implementation in robots.
The project will form one of the integral parts of a collaborative research grant with the academia and industry, which is funded by Innovate UK. The candidate is expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Post-graduate qualification to doctorate level or equivalent experience at a senior level is expected. Some experience of research in instrumentation, device development and/or control systems would be expected. Knowledge of ultrasonic transducer design and manufacture is desirable, in the absence of which the candidate is expected to learn these skills during the course of the appointment.
