Loughborough Design School
Fixed-term until 31 March 2015
A Research Associate is required by the School's User-Centred Design Research Group to work across two research projects, REFLECT (funded by EPSRC) and the Leicestershire LSTF (Local Sustainable Transport Fund) (funded by DfT) on a 70/30 basis until 31 March 2015.
The main duties will require the post holder to work with the Principal Investigators and the current Research Associate to design, organize and undertake research for the REFLECT and Leics LSTF projects. The post holder will be required to conduct literature reviews and to apply user-centered design and/or service design input to the development of the digital technologies being investigated within the projects.
The successful candidate will also have experience of planning and conducting research studies including interviews, focus groups, product/service concept development and field trials. They will be required to work in collaboration with others, and take a key role in the preparation of reports and papers for presentation at national and international conferences and meetings.
