Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical & Manufacturing Engineering
The Intelligent Automation Centre is based within the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical & Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University and works closely with other universities and industry partners such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus and the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). A core aim of this National Centre is to build the intelligent automation community in the UK by identifying and bringing together academics and industry in knowledge sharing relationships and engaging the engineers of the future. We undertake research to develop powerful generic technologies for application on difficult to automate manufacturing tasks and processes, often through human-automation collaboration.
The Intelligent Automation Centre is looking for an ambitious self-starter with an ability to work in a dynamic environment. The post-holder will take the day-to-day responsibility for the Workshop area and supervision of its staff/users. The role involves making an active contribution to the creation of unique mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, systems and dedicated instrumentation.
