School of Social, Political and Geographical Sciences
The School of Social, Political & Geographic Sciences is looking to recruit a Placements and International Opportunities Administrator to support the growing numbers of placements in the School.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide support and guidance to our undergraduate students throughout the placement and international opportunities process. You will assist the Placements & International Opportunities Officer and Placements Director in all aspects of placement provision and support the range of day to day activities of the Placements & International Opportunities Office.
Responsibilities will include liaison with students and staff, processing forms and maintaining records, you will have a real passion for supporting students, be able to effectively communicate and manage cultural differences. You will also provide professional and friendly student-facing support and will require excellent interpersonal and administration skills, coupled with the ability to work under pressure to meet competing deadlines.
You will be able to demonstrate a high level of efficiency, excellent organisational skills, strong IT skills, experience of using social networking sites and a methodical approach. You will need to be proactive in problem-solving and enjoy working with others. Finally you will have a flexible approach and willingness to learn and adapt.
