Commercial skills are essential, but this role goes beyond income creation to making a positive impact on both society and the economy. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating across the commercial and academic worlds, understanding the drivers of both, to create exciting new opportunities. We have a core of excellent research, and the role will be to assist academic colleagues to implement outcomes outside the University through routes such as company spin-out and licensing.
We will be looking for someone who is able to motivate and support academic colleagues through this journey. The successful candidate will have a creative approach to IP exploitation alongside strong technical understanding.
