Estates & Facilities Management
Estates & Facilities Management are the campus hospitality provider at Loughborough University. We provide accommodation and catering within our halls of residence and within our various food and bar outlets for students, staff and visitors, along with high-profile events.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join our fun and vibrant team.
We are looking for an individual to assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in our fresh food kitchen. Along with student catering, a focus will be on our events and delivered food business and will include catering for VIP dinners, brunches, luncheons, cocktail parties, or any special celebration.
The successful candidate will work with senior chefs to develop bespoke menus using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and will work with the Head Chef and Development Chef taking part in tasting/feedback days and also be involved in promotional days and high-profile events.
The ideal candidate must have experience in a fresh food kitchen, experience in fine dining with a strong culinary background, be experienced in running kitchen sections, ordering and possess excellent customer service skills.
The position that is currently available is for 37 hours per week on a 52 week (5 over 7) open ended contract.
