School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering
Fixed term until 31 March 2019 with an anticipated start date of 1 April 2018.
A Research Associate (RA) is sought to join a leading Building Energy Research Group.
The RA will develop and test a framework for modelling the risk of moisture damage to solid masonry walls when they are insulated. They will also devise and run experiments to verify the modelled results using the Hygrothermal Test Facility.
Applicants must have excellent building modelling skills and a PhD and/or postgraduate research experience in a relevant field or equivalent industry expertise. Experience of carrying out hygrothermal modelling and experiments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
