School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering
This represents a unique opportunity to take a key role in supporting the development and delivery of a new and innovative undergraduate degree in Architecture from October 2017 which builds on the School's philosophy of cross-disciplinary education within the built environment.
The Senior Design Tutor will oversee the other design tutors and also the development of the design studio modules alongside the Programme Director. A key part of the role will be to teach and inspire students in architectural design and conduct associated assessments.
Applications are invited from individuals with significant experience in architectural practice with an awareness of current trends and advances within the profession. You will have the ability to develop design studio module content and to deliver high level innovative teaching in Architecture at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Note: an optional part time (0.3 FTE) PhD studentship will be offered to suitable applicants alongside this post.
The position is 0.7 FTE pro rata and fixed term for 5 years.
