Full-time; Fixed-term for 12-months
We are seeking an experienced researcher who will be responsible for conducting a research project comparing the functional and structural adaptations to two contrasting resistance exercise interventions with older adults. The project will involve state-of-the-art measurements of human physical function (strength, force-velocity, whole body physical function) and imaging of muscle, bone and joint adaptations (MRI, DXA). You will have a PhD in neuromuscular/musculoskeletal exercise physiology or biomechanics, and ideally have experience of conducting resistance exercise trials, working with middle-aged or older participants, musculoskeletal imaging, and project management.
This full-time post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 12-months starting 4th January 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter.
