A Hall Warden vacancy has arisen for the role of Warden in Harry French.
Harry French is a self-catered hall, situated on a split site, either side of Ashby Road, just 200 metres from campus and there are 389 bedrooms.
The start date will be in January 2021 in the Spring term.
The Warden has responsibility for the wellbeing, health and safety and discipline of students in hall and for fostering the community spirit of the hall with the support of a team of sub-wardens. They also need to work closely with the Hall Committee to ensure that the hall is an inclusive, welcoming environment for all students.
The people appointed for these roles should be members of University staff educated to degree level and working in an academic or academic-related position with experience of working with students in an educational, guidance or support capacity. Excellent interpersonal, team-working and organisational skills are essential, together with an ability to exert discipline when needed.
The post-holder is required to live in the Warden’s accommodation on campus.
