Department of Social Sciences
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University. The Department is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence in research, teaching and enterprise.
Applications are invited from outstanding candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of sociology with a quantitative focus, for a lectureship commencing 1 October 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful candidate will join the sociology group based in the interdisciplinary Department of Social Sciences. They will contribute to the delivery and development of our BSc and MA degree programmes (Sociology, Criminology and Social Policy; and Communication and Media Studies).
Candidates are expected to have a completed PhD in sociology, or cognate disciplines, an active research profile, the clear potential to contribute to the Department's research culture, and a strong commitment to high quality teaching in an HE environment. The new appointee will be expected to help lead the delivery of quantitative methods teaching and contribute to other areas of the curriculum as required.
