School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences
Part-time 22.2 hrs per week; Fixed-term to 31 March 2028
The successful applicant will play a vital role in coordinating administrative aspects of the Leicester BRC Lifestyle Theme in the School of Sport, Exercise & Health Sciences, Loughborough University. Duties include assisting with PA administration (meeting scheduling, diary management, minute taking, record keeping), financial administration (financial management and expenditure, budget monitoring and reporting, purchasing of goods and consumables, preparing financial reports), research administration (coordinating dissemination of BRC information, responding to enquires, liaising with internal BRC staff and external partners, maintaining lists of publications), public engagement (liaising with the public, supporting organisation of seminars, conferences and meetings) and general administration (building and maintaining effective working relationships, ensuring compliance with university procedures, undertaking relevant training).
Substantial experience in a secretarial or administrative role. Experience of project management, financial management, working in a public/customer/client facing role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organisation skills and IT skills. Ability to work with initiative and independence, proficiency in note/minute taking. Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly, ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail, self-motivated, enthusiastic, approachable. Educated to A Level standard.
This part-time post is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2028.
