Loughborough's Research and Innovation Office has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research & Innovation Support Officer to join our Research and Innovation Support Team. This is a new role within the Research & Innovation Office and is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to make a real difference in supporting world-leading research!
The Research Support Team provide a cradle-to-grave research administration service to academic colleagues, from the initial costing and submission of high-quality proposals through to the ongoing financial management of active projects and project closure.
The Senior Research and Innovation Support Officer will use their extensive experience to provide expert guidance and support to members of the Research Support Team to enable them to undertake their day-to-day work. This will include making sure all staff receive the training and on-going guidance and support necessary to undertake their roles, and also oversee the management of strategic projects and ensure the office-wide processes and procedures are fit for purpose and kept up-to-date.
Whilst the post does not include the direct line management of staff, the postholder will work alongside the R&I Support Managers responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Research Support function at the university.
The postholder will join a busy office that is tasked with delivering high volumes of work, accurately and often to tight deadlines. Therefore, we are looking for a highly organised individual, who is proactive, adaptable and has excellent attention to detail. Whilst experience in a similar role would be beneficial, full training and support will be provided.
