Loughborough University is looking to recruit a motivated and creative professional to develop a vibrant and thriving incubator to support the development of entrepreneurs and innovative start-up businesses from our University ecosystem.
The Incubator Manager is an exciting and challenging role with great potential to be highly innovative, influence at high levels and develop the next generation of entrepreneurs through a vibrant innovation space. We look to develop an environment designed for budding entrepreneurs to learn from others, to focus on developing themselves and their businesses and to succeed and grow in a way which feeds back into our entrepreneurial ecosystem. It builds on the very successful Studio programme for graduate entrepreneurs and extends the reach to academic Spin Outs and external entrepreneurs/start-ups.
The successful candidate will:
- Use their own entrepreneurial experience and practice to design, develop and deliver innovative entrepreneurial support programmes of the highest calibre
- To act as a key business mentor for graduates, academics and external businesses interested in developing or already running a business.
- To drive, develop and manage the operations of the Incubator through its start-up and growth phases - including significantly increasing the number of businesses supported.
- To develop a vibrant and creative support network and environment that stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship whilst enabling active learning.
If you have hands-on experience (direct or advisory) of developing and commercialising early stage ideas, and/or have experience of running a similar incubator environment and can also develop innovative entrepreneurial training programmes - then we would love to talk to you.
