Loughborough University Library has an exciting opportunity to join our Library Leadership Team as our Open Research Lead.
In this post you will lead the strategic development and management of the Library’s support for Open Research, working across the University to further our institutional ambitions. Our Open Research team, which you will lead and manage, also includes our Archivist and our Copyright and Licensing Manager, ensuring that this interesting role can explore opening up research from a variety of angles.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Library Services, you will be a member of our collaborative Library Leadership Team helping to shape our services for the future. You will deliver activity against identified areas of Library strategic focus, working across formal operational structures.
You will be proactive and enthusiastic with leadership and management experience. You will possess strong collaboration and influencing skills combined with the ability to motivate and lead change.
You will have knowledge of the open research landscape, including the academic open publishing environment, reproducibility of research and factors that increase research discovery. You will be able to apply this knowledge to support open research service provision in-line with Library and University strategy.
