Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate on a full-time basis, to be based in the Control Systems Group within the Wolfson School of Engineering, to support the EPSRC grant: Learning of safety critical model predictive controllers for autonomous systems (AutoMPC).
The AutoMPC project is running from May 2023 until April 2026 and develops methods for reinforcement learning of motion controllers for autonomous vehicles. The Research Associate will implement reinforcement learning and model predictive control algorithms in e.g. MATLAB or PyTorch, and later collaborate with the University of Padova, Italy to deploy controllers to their prototype self-balancing electric bike.
