The Climate Competitive Growth Programme (CCG) is looking for an experienced Event Manager to organise and facilitate its international capacity building events.
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience of management and facilitation of medium and large international events, as well as experience of marketing and promoting events.
The Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) Programme brings together some of the UK’s leading research organisations with the aim of helping countries develop economic strategies, plans and policies to attract investment into low-carbon growth across multiple sectors.
As a Key Player within the Team, you’ll organise and manage a number of Energy Modelling Platform Summer Schools, which are open to participants from Low to Mid-income countries. You’ll be the first point of contact and be responsible for all aspects of event organisation, including liaison with participants, funding organisations and international hosts and partners. You will manage the event budget, conduct the risk assessment and produce post-event reports.
Key Requirements:
· Extensive experience of management and facilitation of medium and large international events.
· Administrative, commercial and budget management experience.
· Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively with people from different countries and cultures and a proven track record of demonstrating tact, discretion and diplomacy in a professional setting.
· Creative approach to problem solving and ability/willingness to use IT packages.
· Have a degree in a related subject.
