School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering

The School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering is one of the largest centres for built environment education in the UK. We bring together outstanding facilities, superb teaching, world leading research and excellent colleagues. We currently rank 1st in the UK for Architecture and 1st in the UK for Building (Complete University Guide 2026).
The successful applicant will contribute to the development and delivery of teaching and research to enhance the School’s existing work. For this post we are seeking an ARB registered architect, with experience of undertaking the role of degree programme lead or equivalent, ideally at MArch level, and with an understanding of the ARB and RIBA accreditation/validation processes. The appointee will deliver teaching on our Architecture (BArch & MArch) and Architectural Engineering (BEng & MEng) degrees, based on the needs of the school. The post-holder will also have a relevant PhD or equivalent experience and have authored original work in high quality books/journals.
The appointment will be on a full time, open-ended contract and the salary will be on Grade 8 (£59,966 to £67,468 per annum) at a starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
