Loughborough University works in close partnership with the ECB providing cricket facilities for the country's top cricketers. We are seeking to recruit a Semi Skilled Cricket Grounds Person that has an interest for maintaining fine turf to the highest possible standard. The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of maintenance on both grass and artificial playing surfaces but will spend the majority of their time working on the cricket facility.
We require someone to carry out maintenance and development works on the cricket grounds. A key element of the role will be preparing playing surfaces, practice areas and outfields of the highest quality. Candidates will need to have a proven track record of preparing cricket pitches and practice nets. This position would be a 44 hour working week during the summer and a 30 hour week during the winter.
This post will require flexible work hours. There will be weekend and evening work during the cricket season to cover the needs of the sport. A shift allowance is payable for this post.
