We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Research Administrator to join the CoSTAR Foresight Lab Policy Team at Loughborough University London.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of creative industries, emerging technologies, research, and policy, supporting a nationally significant programme that is helping to understand how cutting-edge technologies are transforming the UK's creative economy. The role sits within the CoSTAR Foresight Lab, part of a major UK-wide network bringing together leding universities, industry partners, policymakers and innovators to drive the future of screen, performance and creative technology.
Working as part of a small, ambitious and collaborative team, you'll play a central role in keeping our research and engagement activities running smoothly. One day you might be coordinating a high-profile policy event, managing stakeholder communications and supporting senior academics; the next you could be helping with research mapping, desk-based analysis, or maintaining intelligence on developments across the CoSTAR network.

As a key member of the CoSTAR Foresight Lab Policy team, you'll help connect research, policy and industry by supporting a wide range of activities that underpin the success of the CoSTAR Foresight Lab. From supporting with the administration of influential events and seminars to coordinating research activity across a UK-wide network of partners, you'll play a central role in an ambitious programme shaping the future of creative technology.
You'll work closely with researchers, policymakers, industry experts and senior stakeholders, helping to manage communications, coordinate projects, organise meetings and events, and support research and policy development. Alongside day-to-day administration, you'll contribute to research mapping and desk-based research, giving you a unique opportunity to gain insight into some of the most exciting developments in creative media technologies and innovation policy.
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and curious. You'll enjoy managing multiple priorities, building relationships with different stakeholders and taking ownership of your work. Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your contribution helps support research and policy activities with real-world impact.
About the CoSTAR Foresight Lab and the Policy team:
Convergent Screen Technologies and Performance in Realtime (CoSTAR) is a network infrastructure designed to drive innovation in emerging technologies across screen and performance. Supported by UK Research and Innovation through the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the CoSTAR network is formed of five labs, based across the UK and bringing together a diverse range of partners across academia and the creative industries.
The CoSTAR Foresight Lab delivers a robust programme to address the acknowledged gaps in understanding how creative businesses are deploying these advanced creative media technologies, and the impacts of these deployments. Led by Goldsmiths, in collaboration with Edinburgh and Loughborough Universities and the BFI, the Foresight Lab will leverage an unrivalled team and network, comprising world-leading players in the creative technology R&D space from both academic institutions and industry, across the UK.
As a member of the CoSTAR Foresight Lab Policy Team, you will join an ambitious, collaborative group working at the cutting edge of creative technology and innovation policy. Through CoSTAR's extensive network, you'll have opportunities to engage with leading researchers, policymakers, creative businesses, technology innovators and cultural organisations from across the UK. Working alongside a diverse community of experts and practitioners, you'll be part of a programme with genuine national reach and impact.
