Institute for Digital Technologies
Loughborough University's London Campus is seeking to make a Senior Lecturer appointment to join its Institute for Digital Technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, develop and teach postgraduate courses in Digital Technologies and related areas. They will be expected to supervise PhD and MSc/MRes students; have a sustainable personal research plan, particularly in areas such as audio/video signal processing, immersive media, Internet of Things, and cyber-security; produce high impact scholarly research outputs; attract external research funding; and interact with a range of relevant external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have a PhD degree in a closely related field that is complementary to the teaching and research directions of the Institute for Digital Technologies. Applicants should have a sustained record of publications in high-quality journals. They will also have demonstrated experience in teaching and supervising MSc/ MRes and PhD students. The successful candidate should be willing to take on a leading role within the Institute. They will be required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic and technical staff, and postgraduate students and have excellent communication skills in both written and oral English.
