Loughborough University's Careers Network is on the lookout for a customer-centric and organised Events and Opportunities Associate to join our vibrant team!
This is a fantastic chance to support students and graduates directly. You'll be instrumental in bringing our on-campus, online, recruitment activities, and events to life, helping with everything from employer invitations for our Careers Fairs to on-the-day set-up.
This role will involve getting creative with how we promote all these amazing opportunities. You'll be supporting the design and delivery of marketing campaigns across various channels – social media, our webpages, and collaborating with colleagues from across The University. You will be tasked with boosting engagement and raising the profile of the Careers Network. Alongside supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of our fantastic events. Plus, you'll be a friendly face offering 1:1 advice to students and graduates on general careers and employability topics, from perfecting CVs to nailing interviews.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and who can contribute to delivering great events. We’re looking for candidates with a proven track record of providing high-level customer service and experience in organising or delivering large-scale events or marketing campaigns. Building strong relationships with everyone from students to high-profile employers will be key, so strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are a must. While A-levels or equivalent experience is essential, if you've got a degree or experience in customer service and social media for marketing, that would be great too but isn’t essential.
This is a full-time, open-ended position offering a competitive salary. We really value a healthy work-life balance at Loughborough, and while some remote working is supported, we'll mostly see you on campus, particularly during term-time (a minimum of 3 days). You'll also benefit from a wide range of employee perks and family-friendly policies.
This role is ideal for someone who loves planning, thrives on detail, and enjoys making things happen behind the scenes as much as being part of the action. You’ll need to be comfortable balancing multiple projects and deadlines while keeping a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
We’re after someone who brings energy, initiative, and a strong sense of organisation to everything they do. If you're the kind of person who enjoys checklists, timelines and turning ideas into action, we’d love to hear from you.
