School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering
Fixed-term for 11 months
An opportunity has risen to join the Water Engineering Group (LWEG) in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering.
A Research Associate is required to further develop and apply the in-house flood modelling software HiPIMS in Vietnamese cities to assess flood risk and the effectiveness of selected Blue/Green Infrastructure (BGI) measures in flood risk mitigation in comparison to traditional engineering solutions.
You will work with an international multi-disciplinary team. A good communication skill in English is required and the ability to work in a team. Essentially you must have demonstrated interest and ability to publish research papers.
Candidates with a PhD in computational hydraulics/hydrology or relevant fields and experience in developing and applying hydrodynamic models for flood modelling and risk assessment are encouraged to apply.
