You will need substantial experience at a management level of working in an HR department and of advising managers on complex HR issues. You must have a degree or equivalent experience and be a Chartered Member of the CIPD. The ability to think strategically as well as operationally and to be able to communicate effectively with people in all parts of the organisation are also essential.
