Full Time, Fixed Term.
We are seeking a Research Associate to perform research on the newly funded Innovate UK project “Safely transforming phytoremediation crops into bioenergy”. The successful candidate must have the following experience: phytoremediation, plant/soil sample characterization, heavy metal extraction, and anaerobic digestion.
They must be able to work independently, perform well under the pressure of deadlines and have excellent communication skills with frequent contact with international partners. They must have knowledge of running the majority of the following equipment: ICP-MS, Milestone DMA80 mercury analyser, BMP, GC, XRF, TOC/TN, and Spectrophotometry. The post may require occasional international travel for meetings/events and fieldwork.
