We’re on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Senior Database Administrator to join our DBA team.
As a key member of our Database Team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database environment, supporting the University’s mission by:
You’ll take a lead role in the day-to-day management, optimisation, and automation of our Oracle and SQL Server database environments. You’ll also support digital transformation initiatives, contributing to projects that modernise our data platforms - including migration to cloud and implementation of best practice backup, recovery, and security standards.

About the Department
Our IT Services department is made up of a wide range of teams all responsible for their own specialism. We are based in Holywell Park, a beautiful area of green campus with a large car park, good public transport links and next to Burleigh Woods. Loughborough IT came top in the National Student Survey for IT resources & facilities in supporting learning for several years in a row.
We have an incredibly supportive culture, an understanding of work/life balance, with hybrid working available.
